Thomas has over 22 years of experience in the financial industry. He began his professional journey as an auditor at Ernst & Young, before transitioning to the realm of fixed income investments in 2007. Thomas became the Head of Fixed Income Advisory at Credit Suisse AG Hong Kong in 2014. In 2018, driven by his passion for the industry, Thomas took the bold step of founding Primas, a credit hedge fund focused on the Asia-Pacific region. Prior to his tenure at Credit Suisse, Thomas served as an Executive Director at J.P. Morgan Chase Bank specializing in global fixed income research and trading.

Thomas holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Finance degree, with a major in Business Economics and a minor in Accounting, from the University of Toronto. Furthermore, he is a CFA charter holder and a Certified Public Accountant in the United States.

Man has over 18 years of experience working in prominent financial institutions such as J.P. Morgan, Citigroup, Merrill Lynch, and Credit Suisse. Prior to co-founding Primas, he held the position of Senior Vice President at Credit Suisse AG Hong Kong. In this role, he was responsible for managing multi-strategy investments for ultra-high-net-worth clients. Additionally, Man also worked as a risk analyst at J.P. Morgan in New York, managing risks for a USD15bn global portfolio.

He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the Baruch College, City University of New York, majoring in Finance and Investment.

Karen has 17 years of experience in the financial industry. Prior to joining Primas, she was the Managing Director and Co-Head of Asia Credit Sales at Barclays, managing a team of salesperson covering leading financial institutions in Asia Pacific. As a veteran in the credit markets, Karen was voted as one of the top salespeople by clients in the Greenwich survey and the Asset magazine consistently and was instrumental in building Barclays’ Asia Credit franchise to one of the most recognized platforms in the market.

Karen joined Primas in 2022 as the COO and Head of Business Development. In this dual capacity, she works closely with management on daily operations oversight, coordination of trading strategies with the investment team, and also leads client relationship management with our investors and friends.

She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Insurance, Financial & Actuarial Analysis from the Chinese University of Hong Kong.

Herman has over 19 years of experience in the financial industry, across credit research, fixed income trading and portfolio management. Prior to joining Primas, he was a Director at HSBC from 2011 to 2020 focusing on credit trading across Asian high grade and high yield bonds. Throughout his tenure, he consistently achieved high rankings as a sell-side individual for local currency and Asia G3 bonds, as recognized by reputable publications such as the Asset Magazine and Greenwich survey. Prior to that, he was in ING Investment Management and Morgan Stanley London focusing on fixed-income research.

He holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Computer Science from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, as well as a Master’s degree in Finance from London Business School. In addition, he is a CFA charter holder.

Joann has over 13 years of experience in fixed income investment, focusing on portfolio management, treasury sales and advisory. She worked in Fixed Income Trading and Sales team as a senior advisor at Credit Suisse AG Hong Kong before joining Primas. Prior to that, she was at J.P. Morgan Chase Bank and UBS Investment Bank also focusing on fixed income.

She holds a BA in Finance from the National Taiwan University and a Master’s degree in Financial Engineering from the University of Michigan.
